Pleased as punch to announce that New Moon Variety, the debut EP from Mammoth Gardens, will be released both in digital form and in a limited run of CDs (or “physical copies” in modern parlance) on January 15, 2016. You can pre-order the digital version from the usual suspects, with iTunes’ pre-order here, and Amazon.com, right here.
Mammoth Gardens is the latest musical escapade/endeavor from Barry Francis Walsh, known perhaps to some of you as co-founder of renowned Halifax alt-pop band Cool Blue Halo (‘Too Much Kathleen”, “Sweetie Said”), and perhaps to others of you as founder of Toronto-based Galore.
The bulk of the new EP was recorded, produced and mixed by Toronto-based sonic wizard Laurence Currie (Sloan’s One Chord to Another, Cool Blue Halo’s Kangaroo among others) with one track, “Amy Airplane”, recorded and produced by esteemed and downright legendary guitarist Richard Lloyd (Television, Matthew Sweet).
Live performances will be announced in the weeks ahead.
